CX Rome | Tor Vergata: Italy’s largest campus, between green spaces and community
A 15.000 sqm park, free from cars and equipped for sports and social activities, forms the green heart of CX Rome | Tor Vergata, a truly unique campus just steps from the University of Tor Vergata.
The complex, made up of 17 buildings, is inspired by the American campus model, offering spaces to live, study, and connect in a genuine community.
Opened in 2010, the project repurposes buildings that once housed swimmers during the 2009 Olympics.
The campus was designed with a strong focus on eco-sustainability and energy efficiency: clean, essential architecture, colors, and materials blend with the surrounding nature, while innovative solutions such as solar and photovoltaic panels cover a large portion of the campus’s energy needs.
